For Autumn Winter 2024, EDELINE LEE celebrates the relationships between mothers and daughters and the sartorial ties that bind them together. In a departure from Lee's previous immersive shows, this collection is captured in a series of family portraits of the designer's friends, clients and supporters. The project is presented over an intimate breakfast in The Scottish Room at the sumptuous MOUNT ST. RESTAURANT in Mayfair.

The designer states: "The idea behind the project is a simple one: to celebrate family and how a handmade garment can bridge generations. Fashion is a powerful mode of expression: one that gives mothers and daughters a meeting point, a shared space between childhood and adulthood. I love spending time in the dressing room with mothers, daughters and grandmothers. I've seen so many women who wear my clothes sharing them with their daughters (and vice versa!). It brings me so much joy."

The collection is photographed by MATTHEW EADES and styled by Lee's long term collaborator KATIE FELSTEAD who states: "As much as we enjoy spotting something new on a catwalk or unearthing a find in a vintage store, the best thing of all is discovering a gem in your own mother's wardrobe. But clothes are no longer simply handed down between generations - they' re exchanged. A mother borrowing her daughter's clothes is a lovely thing."

Within the collection EDELINE LEE plays with fluid waterfall draping, built-in scarves, removable sleeves, elevated sportswear, and shorter silhouettes. She extrapolates on a three-dimensional floral drapery and clusters of hand-embroidered roses on a diaphanous Stretch Chiffon. The palette features shades of Black, Burgundy, Lilac, Pistachio, Ivory and Malachite. The house's signature pebbled Flou Bubble Jacquard, heavyweight Georgette Champion and lightweight Georgette Crinkle fabrics are complimented by a Charmeuse Crinkle with a soft sheen, and an encrusted Sequin Cluster Net. Core brand shapes are accented with the house's signature hand-covered buttons and buckles with gold hardware.
